I have had the good fortune to live in several countries in Europe, Africa and North America. My main work before becoming semi-retired was in two halves: for 25 years I was an architect and for a similar period a professional translator. Somehow I have citizenship of three countries: the Republic of Ireland, the USA and Britain. I now live in France. In addition to the books and magazine articles I translated I have written some myself.
